Change Server Egg

Switch your server to a different game/egg type.

On this page

Overview#

Server Egg is a template that determines the type of game or application running on your server (e.g.: Paper, Forge, Velocity, Bedrock, etc.). Changing the egg is useful when you want to switch from one server type to another — for example, from Vanilla to Forge, or from a Minecraft server to a Bedrock server — without having to create a new server.

Caution

Changing the egg **does not automatically change your server files**. Some eggs require a different file structure, so make sure you understand the consequences before switching. It's recommended to make a **backup** first.

Steps#

Step 1: Log In to the Panel#

Open the Arqonara Panel page and log in using your account.

Step 2: Select Your Server#

Click on the name of the server whose egg you want to change from the list of available servers.

Step 3: Open the Settings Menu#

Look at the navigation sidebar on the left side of the screen. Find and click the Settings menu.

Tip

This menu is at the bottom of the sidebar, marked with a gear icon.

Step 4: Find Change Game Type#

Scroll down the Settings page until you find the Change Game Type section.

Step 5: Choose the Desired Egg#

In the available dropdown, select the egg that suits your needs (e.g.: Forge, Fabric, Paper, Bedrock, etc.).

Step 6: Save the Changes#

Click the Save or Update button to apply the changes.

After saving, the panel will reinstall the server according to the new egg you selected. Wait for the process to finish, and then your server is ready to run.

Additional Tips#

  • Back up first: Always create a backup before changing the egg, especially if your server already has important data or worlds.
  • File structure: Different eggs may require different startup files. If the server fails to start after the change, check the Startup menu and adjust the startup command.
  • Help: If you're unsure about choosing an egg, contact the Arqonara support team before making any changes.
