Basic Commands
Essential commands used often on a server.
These basic commands work in both Minecraft Java and Bedrock. Type them in the chat box (starting with /) or directly in the panel Console.

To use commands, you need **Operator (OP)** access. See the [Grant Operator Access](/en/guides/minecraft/operator-access) guide.
General Commands#

/help | Show the list of available commands. |
/list | See players currently online. |
/say <message> | Send a message to all players. |
/tp <player> <target> | Teleport a player to another player/location. |
/give <player> <item> [amount] | Give an item to a player. |
/time set day | Set the time to day. |
/weather clear | Set the weather to clear. |
/gamemode <mode> <player> | Change the game mode (survival, creative, etc). |

/deop <player> | Revoke operator access. |
/kick <player> | Kick a player from the server. |
/ban <player> | Ban a player from the server. |
/pardon <player> | Unban a player. |
/whitelist add <player> | Add a player to the whitelist. |

/save-all | Save the whole world to disk. |
/stop | Safely shut down the server. |
/reload | Reload the server configuration. |
/difficulty <level> | Change the difficulty level. |
