Grant OP to a Player
Give operator access to a Java player.
Granting Operator (OP) status lets a player use administrative commands. For the full concept, see the Grant Operator Access guide.
Via Console#
- Open the Console tab in the panel.
- Type:
op <playername> - Press Enter. The server confirms the player is now an operator.
Via Chat#
If you are already OP, type in the in-game chat:

/op <playername>
Check & Revoke OP#

/op <player> | Grant OP. |
/deop <player> | Revoke OP. |
The operator list can be viewed in the ops.json file on the Files tab. You can edit it manually, but restart the server for changes to be read.
Caution
Player names are *case-sensitive*. `Steve` differs from `steve`.
Verify#
Ask the player to run /help. If the admin command list appears, OP was granted successfully.
