Database Integration (MySQL/MariaDB)
Connect an external database to your server.
On this page
Using an external database (MySQL/MariaDB) is highly recommended for servers with many players. It makes plugins like LuckPerms, CoreProtect, or LiteBans run much faster than using local files (H2/SQLite).
1. Creating a Database in the Panel#
The first step is to set up a database through the Arqonara control panel.
- Log in to the Arqonara Game Panel. panel.arqonara.com
- Select your server, then navigate to the Databases tab in the left sidebar, or access it directly via:
https://panel.arqonara.com/server/<idserver>/databases - Click the New Database button.
- Give the database a name (for example:
server_data) and click Create Database.
2. Getting the Connection Details#
After the database is created, you need to retrieve the credential information to enter into your plugin configuration.
- Click the Settings button (key/gear icon) or Detail on the newly created database.
- Copy the following information:
- Endpoint / Host: The database IP address.
- Database Name: The unique database name shown.
- Username: The database username.
- Password: Click the eye icon to view the password.
3. Implementing It into Plugins#
Almost all Minecraft plugins use the same configuration format. Look for the storage-method or database section in the plugin's config.yml file.
Example Configuration (LuckPerms/CoreProtect):
storage-method: MySQL
data: address: "MASUKKAN_ENDPOINT_DISINI" database: "MASUKKAN_DATABASE_NAME_DISINI" username: "MASUKKAN_USERNAME_DISINI" password: "MASUKKAN_PASSWORD_DISINI" maximum-pool-size: 10
4. Save & Restart#
- Click Save Content after entering the database details correctly.
- Restart your server via the Console.
- Check the startup log. If you see the message
Connected to MySQL database, the integration was successful.
Benefits of Using a Database#
- High Speed: Data queries (such as checking CoreProtect logs) become instant even with millions of rows.
- Data Sync: You can connect multiple servers (BungeeCord/Velocity) to a single database so Ranks/Money stay synced across all sub-servers.
- Security: Data is stored in a dedicated database system separate from your Minecraft server files.
Troubleshooting#
Error: Access Denied?
Make sure the Username and Password you entered are exactly the same as shown in the Databases tab. No extra spaces.
Error: Connection Refused/Timeout?
Check the Endpoint/Address section. Make sure the host and port (usually 3306) are correct.
Can't Connect? If your database won't connect, our support team is ready to help check your configuration.
