Grant OP
Give operator access to a Bedrock player.
Granting Operator (OP) in Bedrock lets a player use administrative commands. In Bedrock, OP is stored in the permissions.json file.
How to Grant OP#
- Open the Console tab in the panel.
- Type the following command, replacing
<nameOrXUID>with the player's name:op <playername> - Press Enter.
Note
On some Bedrock builds, the `op` command requires the player's **XUID**, not the name. The XUID can be seen in `allowlist.json` after the player has joined once.
Revoke OP#
txt
deop <playername>
Via the permissions.json File#
Manual edit:
- Open the Files tab →
permissions.json. - Make sure the player is listed with
"permission": "operator":json[ { "permission": "operator", "xuid": "1234567890123456" } ] - Save and Restart the server.
Verify#
Ask the player to run /help. If admin commands appear, OP was granted. If not, restart the server so permissions.json is re-read.
